Enthral – Weekend Writing Prompt #113

Should’ve known

Billy wasn’t like Matt and me

Sinister brown eyes

Set in his placid face

That only twitched with

Insidious glee

When he tortured helpless cries

From the stray puppies

Hiding in the shrubs

Separating our yard

From the Millers

Mom said

He’d outgrow silly habits

But Billy was enthralled

With causing pain

It’s been about three Saturdays since I last participated in Sammiscribbles‘ writing prompts. I am still trying to find my writing groove between my work and rest hours. I hope you’re all having a lovely weekend! Happy writing 🌸.
