It only takes a moment
A singular breath charged
With venomous intent
For harmony to go up in flames
Mushrooming into an angry cacophony
Of voices raised
Like crashing cymbals
Unleashing wildfire
Snapping gossamer harnesses
From mercurial tongues
Hurtling fireballs
In all directions
Innocent hearts scorched
Within the destructive blaze
And when the violent flame dies
Regretful billows hung low
What can be restored
From the shambles and ash
Left behind?
